Tige ran his first 1/2 marathon today. Lucky us, it ran right in front of our house, so we got to cheer from our driveway. It's been raining all week--it was a cold morning, but the rain stopped for the race. My pictures are blurry, but I guess that's what you get with someone whipping by you quickly and you just have a second to get a picture. We're so proud of him. He finished in about 2 hours 13 minutes. His legs are sore and stiff, but overall not too shabby. He doesn't even have blisters on his feet.

Mile 2 in front of our house.

You have nice buns, and I cannot lie ...

Over 2,000 runners

Tige's fan club (Kason & our neighbors around the corner). Most of the runners got a kick out of Kason's sign as they passed.

Coming in for the finish--about 1/4 mile to go.

Tige said he needed to take an ice cold bath after the race to help with the swelling. The kids had a blast pulling the ice cubes out and sucking on them. Every time they'd drop an ice cube and it splashed on Tige, he'd cry like a girl. It was so funny to watch.

Mmmm, yummy ice!
