Family Reunion
We had a great time last weekend at my family reunion in Bryce Canyon with my mom's 5 siblings and all of their children and grandchildren. We enjoyed hiking in beautiful Bryce Canyon, eating, swimming, visiting, and playing. We all managed to have a good time despite the fact that there were about 17 children under the age of 6! During a hike, Kason stopped for a little snack, and a squirrel climbed right up on his knee! Guess the squirrel needed a snack too.

Cabin Fever
A week ago we went to my parents cabin to help them varnish/lacquer the wood, hang lights, etc. The cabin is sooo great--just needs carpet and it's done. I'm planning to spend August there to get out of this heat! It's been 104 in St. George the past couple of days, Yuck! Anyway, we also squeezed in a 4 wheeler ride to the top of the mountain where the view was amazing.

We've been sick all week with colds and flu-like symptoms. Tige doesn't get sick often, but when he does he's really down. This picture was Monday afternoon--he came home from work early with an IV, and he layed around trying to feel better. He threw up a couple of times, but didn't get much sympathy from me since I've also had a bad cold and have been throwing up consistently for 6 months! Plus, he can take the "good" medicine and I can only take wussy stuff. Anyway, we both still have colds but are on the mend now.

Beautiful Lake Powell
I mean, seriously! Just look at him!
Tige took these pictures at Lake Powell two weekends ago, and I think I should send them into the news or National Geographic or something because they're so amazing. The water is so still it's hard to tell where the water ends and the cliffs begin. He was riding a jet ski and was able to stop and snap the pictures before the jet ski rippled the water. Wow!

70% girl
I had a check-up today and the Dr. ran me into the ultrasound room to check the position of the baby and the heartbeat. It's still breech and still had it's legs together, but the Dr. said he believes he sees female parts (where the arrow is) and said he's 70% sure it's a girl! Maybe next month we'll know for 100% certain.

Spring water fun
Tige & Kason making a huge splash!
We had my brother Clark's family over for a BBQ and slip-n-slide a few weeks ago. The kids had a ball getting wet in the hot afternoon, and Tige and Clark had to join in too. Char and I enjoy taking the kids to the library for story time, where we both check out a stack of books each time (mine are always about sharks and trains). Then we go to the water/picnic area behind the library for a picnic lunch and to let the kids play on the splash pad and in the water. It's a fun outing we look forward to each week. We love to live close to Brock & Paige; Kason asks to play with them every day.
