Our Southern California Vacation

We just spent a week on vacation in Southern California. We had a great time relaxing and spending time together. We went to the beach, Legoland, and Sea World. We were also able to get together with some family--Julie's Grandma Taylor, Julie's cousin Melissa and her family, and Tige's cousin Jenny Riddle and her hubby.

We took soooo many pictures--over 200 (yes, I'm out of control!) I've been wondering how to share them on my blog because there were so many fun things we did, so I decided to put a few in a grid collage. It was a great time to go to Sea World and Legoland because it wasn't crowded and we didn't have to stand in any lines. Kason loved it!

Note: in the last picture, the collage cut off my cousin Melissa's face. Hope she won't be mad that it's just a picture of her belly and not her face! She's 32 weeks pregnant & was just ordered to bedrest (with 3 other children). For her parents & siblings who haven't seen her in awhile, there's the belly!

Embarassing!

We had quite an embarassing experience in Sacrament Meeting today. My mom, dad, Tige and I were singing a quartet. Just before it was time to go up front, we gave Kason a treat & had him all ready to sit by himself on the bench while we went to sing. The 4 of us got up and start heading to the front, when Kason comes running behind us yelling "Wait, I've gotta pee first! I've gotta pee first!" I was mortified!

Beautiful Sunset

This is a sunset from my parent's front porch in Cedar City yesterday. It was so beautiful, the picture just didn't do it justice. We just didn't get many sunsets like this in Virginia!

We spent New Year's Eve with my brother Clark's family and with my parents at their cabin at Panguitch Lake, Utah. We played games, watched movies, played in the snow, and managed to stay up until midnight for a kiss despite the fact that we were all exhausted. We worked a lot. We hung several doors, added door knobs, and finished all the decorative moulding around the corners, doors and windows in the cabin. It is looking great and will be a marvelous place to "get away" when it's finished.
