Ironman SG 2011

St. George held it's IRONMAN for the second year on May 7. The night before there was a kid's fun run (1 mile) which Kason ran in. He did so great--they let the 9-12 year olds go in the first heat and a few minutes later sent the 5-8 year olds. Kason was so speedy that he finished right up with the 9-12 year olds! I didn't even see him pass by because we weren't expecting him so soon.

Then the morning of the Ironman, Tige got up early to spend the day volunteering. First he was a wetsuit stripper at the lake, then he was a drifting enforcer on the bikes, then he worked in the medical tent, then he worked at an aid station at the run, and was a catcher at the finish line. He came home with about 5 different colored volunteer shirts from all he did. Stay tuned for St. George Ironman 2012 when he runs the race!
