She's finally here! My water broke at 6:30 on Saturday morning and we went to the hospital. The first few hours progressed quickly, but the longer it went, the slower things became. At 9:00 p.m. on Saturday I was dilated to a 9, but at 3:15 a.m. I had gone back to an 8, and the contractions were erratic--some were fast, 30 seconds or a minute apart, and then we'd go 4 minutes between. The Dr. finally called for plan B, and we did a c-section. As a result, Abby has a beautiful, round head and face. The cord was wrapped around her neck twice, so I suppose the c-section was best even though I'm hurting now. I came home from the hospital tonight (Tuesday). Tige's mom is here to take care of me this week, and my mom will come next week.
Abby latched right on to eat like a champ--I was amazed. She hardly cried in the hospital and has been sooooo precious! We are so in love. I'll load the rest of this update with pictures, as that's what I know you all want to see! Thanks for your love and prayers.

Oh my, what a precious and adorable girl! You're right, her head is perfectly round. She's so sweet, and her face is very feminine, if thats possible in a newborn...
She is precious and I am so happy for you to finally have her here. Enjoy everything. Girls are so much different than boys and it has been awhile since you had a newborn. I bet Kason is loving her so much.
She is beautiful, just like her mother! I am so glad that everything turned out fine. Enjoy every waking moment with her. They grow up way to fast.
She is beautiful. She looks so sweet, too. She looks older than a newborn. I love all the pink she has on. too. Just enjoy her now. They grow so fast.
PHEW! I had the most vivid dream, I think it was Sat. night that you had a boy, and were very surprised...obviously! You named him Patrick, and changed the nursery color to orange. It looked great, by the way, in my dream!!! Now I can send my girl present with confidence!!! Congrats...you have borne a friend for life now. Truly a precious and wonderful thing.
PS, Cory now has a goatee so that he can be like Tige!
OOOhhhh! She's so sweet. I'm so happy she's here safe and sound. I hope you're recovery will be a quick one. Congrats from the Batemans!! Love you.
Mom was right. I AM eating my heart out. She's GORGEOUS!!! I can't decide who she looks like...so she looks like Abby. I just can't wait to see her next month. keep postin the pictures. Aunt Teina loves them!
She is really, really, really cute! I can't wait to see her in real life! I bet Kason is going to be the best older brother. He is old enough to be a great help I think. Congrats! We are so glad she made it here safe and healthy.
