Tuesday the kindergarten put a little program where they recited poetry and sang songs. I should shoot myself for not bringing my flip camcorder along because it was PRICELESS. Kason knew every word to every song, sang loud, and was such a cute little ham. So we'll settle for some pictures and my recollection of some of the songs. Tige took the day off work to be able to attend this program, and it was so worth it. Kason was adorable.
A nose to smell, my ears hear well, a mouth to talk and two legs to walk.
But that's not all because you see, I am special, I am me.
and
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me. . .
A child is black, a child is white, and together they learn to read and write.
A beautiful sight, and now a child can understand that this is the law of all the land...
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away.
Kason pointed at us when he said "how much I love you" and smiled and sang so sweetly, he nearly had me bawling.
(After the program Trinity's mom asked for a picture with these two boys. This is our little letter writer from my last blog post. She's written Kason about 7 letters in the past 4 days of school. She has a beta fish named Kason and wants to go on a date).
His words, "I love that she's nice and she's a great teacher. She cares for us, and she give us recess. And I like that she's beautiful."

Kason better put on a performance for us at the cabin! We're pretty excited to spend the weekend with the Hazletons.
What a sweetheart. That is adorable. He is going to have so many girls after him. You better watch out.
It's those Monticello genes that make him so smart!
That is great that you are keeping track of all of these things. This is something great to remember. What a cute kid!!
Oh, just wait. My baby is graduating from kindergarten in a few days. No more kindy for us. sniff sniff. Kason seems like a little stud-- knowing all of his numbers and letters not to mention the heart throb of the class. Way to go little man!
What a smarty you have there. I bet you are proud of him and you should be.
Way to go Kason! Sounds like he's more than ready for first grade.
