Vegas Vacay

I promised myself I would get back on the wagon of blogging our family memories in 2016.  I didn't do great in 2014, and did nothing in 2015.  But I print this blog into a keepsake book/journal, and my kids LOVE looking at it.  It wasn't easy to do 2014's book since my blog wasn't very well kept.  And 2015 is going to be a nightmare to try and put together.  So here's to doing a better job this year!

We headed down to Vegas for a weekend getaway the end of January.  We are pretty boring doing all the same things we usually do when we go there, but we all love it.

Staying at the Worldmark and swimming in the pools and lazy river is always the best.  We went bowling at SouthPoint & then dinner at the Steak-n-Shake.  Also trips to see the Mermaid & Bass Pro Shop animals at the Silverton.

Kason & Taylor said 2 really funny things that I wanted to remember.  (below)

Bowling

5 year old Taylor is a funny kid.  And a kid who plays way too many video games.  We realized this when we were sitting in the pool (which had many different fences leading to it), and he asked "dad, where's our spawning point?"

Quick background, Kason is studying the moon phases in science at school right now.  He knows all the scientific names for moons, such as an almost full moon with just a sliver missing is the GIBBOUS moon.

Anyway, Tige's cousin Cassie lives in Vegas and performs at various venues.  We called her to see if she could get us tickets to any shows.  She said she could get us really cheap tickets to the "Las Vegas Show" at Planet Hollywood which she was currently performing in, so we took all the kids at went.  It was a good show, but had Las Vegas show girls throughout the show wearing lots of G-strings, so I was pretty uncomfortable sitting there with Kason.  After the show Tige said to Kason, "well, I guess you just saw a bunch of full moons at this show." Kason said "no dad, they were GIBBOUS moons!"  We laughed hysterically at his smarts and wit.
