They had a great time camping--they caught 2 frogs, which Kason named "Jumpy." I was happy they got away during the night so they couldn't bring them home. Whew! Kason slept great, but the wind howled all night and Kason grinded his teeth, so poor Tige didn't sleep well.
Then Saturday afternoon, Tige surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. It was totally awesome! The theatre was made just for Phantom, and it was beautiful with amazing scene changes coming up out of the floor. The costumes and singing were fabulous too. I loved it and I just have the best husband! He's so wonderful.
Today at church, the primary sang mother's day songs. We happened to be in the very back of the overflow area, but we could hear our 4 year old's voice crystal clear! You know how there's always one primary kid that sings really loud and holds all the notes longer than every one else? Well, that was Kason. But it was just so cute because he was being sincere--not trying to be a wise guy. Anyway, the very last notes were "Mother I love you, I love you, I do" and Kason held the "I do" with great feeling, really long and really loud. Everyone just busted up. I was laughing so hard I was crying by the time he got back to our seats. Our ward also gave also the mom's Hawaiian lei's that were so beautiful. I felt very special.

I'm so jealous that you went to see Phantom! If we still lived down there I would make Jeff take me, sounds like a fun Mother's Day weekend!

Willow thinks that she is Hannah MOntana when she's up there singing. My friend said that she forgot to watch her own kid because they were laughing so hard at Willow dramatic rendition of MOther Dear. Just imagine what the solo during the primary program sounded like last year... Yikes. I think Adam the prophet must have flinched while watching!
Willow and I went to see Wicked in LA last July and it was UNBELIEVABLE if/when that goes to Vegas call me and I will come up and go with you to see it. In fact I could come up anytime to see anything! We should make plans!
I am also jealous that you went to see the Phantom. Mabey I will be able to see it before it leaves Vegas. I'm glad you had a good weekend.
How fun and what a sweet hubby you have. Way to show all the others up! I love your blog- and yea it looks like you are taking advantage of all the gorgeous places nearby you. Those kind of hikes are fun. I remember climbing all over that red rock when we'd visit St. George as a kid. Good times- and I can't believe your baby wouldn't cooperate for the ultrasound. You must be so anxious to know!
